October Month in Review
On October 22nd, members had a frightfully good me at our October Sunday Dinner which was full of activities. Miguel prepared a fantastic All American lunch with turkey or cheeseburgers, French fries, coleslaw and of course, apple pie.
With it being October and Halloween looming right around the corner, members dressed up to celebrate the season. Several members wore festive Halloween T-shirts and others went all out with their attire. Entrants for our costume contest included cute pumpkin Penny Juare, Nita Kramer as a chef, terrorist Darin Sims and Diana McDonald who channeled Charlie & the Chocolate Factory’s Violet Beauregard. Third place went to Maria DeCristofaro who was Troll’s Princess Poppy; Second place went to our purple haired vampire Vicki Newman; and First place went to Sandra Spencer who was a beautiful purple Queen.
Members were then treated to a high stepping comedy and dance performance by the Prime Steppers. Funny comedy routines included a Josephine Friday crime solving routine and a Phyllis Diller bit. Olive, you’re still my hero and I want to grow up to be just like you!!!
On October 27th, for Friday Movie Night we showed the twisted movie Split, followed by Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho with Anthony Perkins as our
beloved Norman Bates in Psycho! Baked herb chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and fresh corn bread were served for dinner. Yes, they’ve graduated from hot dogs!
